PDF Files

The recommended file format for posters is Acrobat PDF. |
We know that creating PDF files from your Power Point file (or other native file format) is not always easy. Due to the variety of platforms (PC/Mac/Unix), budgets, incompatibilities inherent in Adobe vs Microsoft, and software versions, the process varies.
Poster PDF is too small
Creating the default size of 8.5 x 11 is a common mistake - This is not an intuitive process.
- Make sure you access advanced settings in the print dialog box to set the final page size. Methods vary depending on your software/platform.
- Click "Page Setup" (MAC) / Properties (PC) to access custom page sizes in which you determine the final size of your PDF.
* This is not the PowerPoint page size that you see in the Page Setup dialog box. - Click "Options" (MAC)
- Click "Manage Custom sizes" in the paper size drop down menu (it's the last choice).
- Enter dimensions. Make sure the orientation is correct when you get back to the Preview window in the Print dialog box. If not, simply go back in and reverse your dimensions.
