SVC Rates
The SVC is a UC Berkeley Recharge Unit dedicated to offering large format printing, laser printing, scanning (both slide and flatbed), poster mounting, DVD authoring, and tech support / design work at a low cost, convenient location, providing students and Faculty the ablity to directly charge to UC grants and funds via "Chartstrings."

Poster Sizes
The SVC uses an HP DesignJet 5500 42" wide large format printer for posters.
- Design your poster 42" or less on either width or height.
- The other side can be as long as you want.
- Linear inch (length) refers to the length of the poster we use to calculate the cost.

What do we mean by "Linear Inch"?
We really mean, length. The SVC bases poster charges on the longest length of your poster that is beyond 42." The maximum dimension of one side we can print is 42." So, linear inch refers to the length we use to calculate the cost of your poster.
36" x 48" poster Calculate 48 x $1.27 (matte paper) = $60.96
Why? The 36" side fits into the 42" paper width.
36" x 42" poster Calculate 36 x $1.27 (matte paper) = $45.72
Why? The 42 " side fits into the 42" paper width.
